Investment Process

Venture 53 offers multiple funds that are focus driven.   We begin by running an investment through our investment thesis and qualifying which of our 5 micro verticals it touches.  As supply chains become more integrated and connected it is not uncommon for investments to cross verticals.   

We typically invest with co-investors.  Board seats are important to us.  If we lead, we require a board seat.  Our terms are competitive, driving accelerated exits that benefit our LPs and our portfolio companies. As a part of due diligence we ask – How can we help?  The Venture 53 IOLV Network (Insiders, Outsiders, Legends and Visionaries) delivers guidance and tangible added value that begins day 1.

Whether an investment comes in thru referral, industry networks or inbound solicitation,  Venture 53 follows an investment timeline.  From the time that we receive materials we commit to a 4 week due diligence period.

Additional follow on capital is available to support future rounds through our network of like-minded VCs.
